Bug Brigade

Rose Hair Tarantula

Twice a month we offer visitors an opportunity to observe and handle live bugs to learn about these arthropods' anatomy, behavior and important ecological roles. Every second and fourth Saturday from 2-4 pm.

With this program we are encouraging visitors to overcome misperceptions that bugs are creepy pests. We offer a deeper understanding of these creatures and hope that the Bug Brigade inspires backyard bug investigations after the visit.

NHMU Entomology department has supported the expansion of this program by adding new bugs to the brigade and offering activities for visitors in attendance.

Every second and fourth Saturday from 2-4 p.m.
