Set in the near future, Frank, an ex-jewel thief, has two grown kids who are concerned he can no longer live alone. Against the his wishes, Frank’s son buys him a humanoid robot programmed to improve his physical and mental health.  The two companions soon try their luck as a heist team in a heartwarming story about finding friends in the most unexpected places. 

After the film, join Dr. Stacy Morris Bamberg, Director of the University of Utah BioInstrumentation Lab, for a discussion of her research in developing sensors and instrumentation to measure human mobility to help older adults.  Her projects, like using in-shoe sensors to evaluate gait and balance and video games to help stroke subjects increase their range of motion, aim to empower people to both gather their own medical data and to use this data in real-time to make changes to their lives.
