Teaching Toolbox Workshop: Experience Insects!

Saturday, November 2, 2013 - 9:00am - 2:00pm
Natural History Museum of Utah - Community Room

This 5-hour Saturday session will highlight insects with the opportunity to learn first-hand from scientist Christy Bills, Entomology and Malacology Collections Manager. You will experience hands-on activities, as well as practice with toolbox lesson plans and the integration of content into other curriculum.

This hands-on workshop will engage you with unique specimens (living and mounted), take you through the    museum's entomology collections, and give you practical experience in keying out insect specimens and caring for live specimens in the classroom.

Educators will receive five relicensure points for completing this workshop.
