Field Trip Greeter Volunteer Position
Department: School Programs
Position Summary: Individuals will be responsible for greeting groups of children arriving for Field Trips at the Museum. You will check groups in, give them their wrist bands, orient them to the building and procedures, and help them with lunches if needed. Responsibilities will also include on the floor evaluation, data entry, managing supplies, and reviewing surveys.

• Comfortable learning basic skills to use programs on computers, iPods, and iPads
• Capable of standing or walking for long periods
Training Required: Field Trip Greeters will be required to attend a total of three training sessions: a four-hour basic Volunteer Orientation training and two two-hour Field Trip training sessions. Additional tranings will be available throughout the school year. On the job observations will follow.

Session A
Wednesday, October 10, 2:00 - 4:00 pm
Wednesday, October 17, 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
Session B
Friday, October 19, 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
Friday, October 26, 2:00 - 4:00 pm
Available Shifts:
M-F 9:00 am - 12:00 pm
M-Th 11:30 am-2:30 pm
Time Commitment: One shift per week, September 10, 2012 - June 6, 2013
Age Requirement: 18 years minimum
