What Rock is That?

Geology Workshop for Elementary Teachers

Join educators and scientists from the Natural History Museum of Utah for a workshop on the basics of geology.  Teachers will have the opportunity to interact with Museum-quality specimens while building a deeper understanding of geologic principles.  We can help answer tricky questions about rocks, minerals, and fossils posed by you (and your students).  Walk away with useful information and resources to effectively teach geology (and science) in your own classroom while covering important Utah State Science CORE material.

These 3-hour workshops can be held in your district, and you’ll earn 3 relicensure points.
