Title of Lecture: Dinosaurs in the flesh
Lecture Description: Dr. Loewen will be sharing some of the exciting new research about what dinosaurs looked like, based on new information collected by NHMU scientists. Highlights include the skin of armored, horned, and tyrant dinosaurs, including exciting new details on the appearance of Allosaurus.
Bio: Mark is a vertebrate paleontologist at the Natural History Museum of Utah and Department of Geology & Geophysics, University of Utah. He specializes in research on Jurassic and Cretaceous dinosaurs with an emphasis on the evolution and biogeography of meat eating, armored, and horned dinosaurs. Along with colleagues he has named 13 dinosaurs including Lythronax, Kosmoceratops, Utahceratops, and Seitaad.
