The Natural History Museum of Utah | Rio Tinto Center
Explore one of Utah’s most important horse stories – the connection of the Ute people to horses. The Ute were among the first North American tribes to acquire horses from the Spanish in the 1600s. Discover how horses transformed Ute life in ways that continue to reverberate today.
We would like to invite our members to this two day celebration that will feature brand new activities and programs that will be available throughout the run of the exhibit. Members will have the opportunity to:
- Discover the interesting evolution of the horse through real horse skulls and leg bones.
- Meet horse-related experts—listen to stories about their unique horse experiences and interact with the tools of their trade!
- And much more!
Activites run from 11am - 4pm.
