The Horse: Navajo Seed Pot Artist Workshop

Join Navajo artist, Jachelle Yazzie and design and paint a Navajo seed pot. Much of Yazzie’s art has a spiritual meaning and most of her designs revolve around the sun and her love of the Earth. Learn the significance of colors such as turquoise, brown, red, and green and designs that honor the traditions and beliefs of the Navajo people.

Born in Salt Lake City, Utah, Jachelle Yazzie comes from a family of talented artists. Yazzie is a member of the Navajo tribe and began creating art as a young girl, drawing on rocks and paper. An award-winning artist, she has participated in many art shows through the region.
