Nothing Like Chocolate
Deep in the rain forests of Grenada, chocolatier Mott Green seeks solutions to the problems of a ravaged global chocolate industry. Solar power, employee shareholding and small-scale antique equipment turn out delicious chocolate in the hamlet of Hermitage, Grenada. Finding hope in an industry entrenched in enslaved child labor, irresponsible corporate greed, and tasteless, synthetic products, NOTHING LIKE CHOCOLATE reveals the compelling story of the relentless founder of the Grenada Chocolate Company (GCC).
Following the film, Matt Caputo, the CEO of Tony Caputo's Market & Deli and owner of A Priori Specialty Foods, will discuss his experience in the world of chocolate.
A Priori is the largest importer and distributor of ultra premium chocolate bars in the U.S. Locally, Matt has won many awards such as "Utah's Best Food & Wine Educator" from Salt Lake magazine and is this year's Slow Food Snail Award recipient. In international chocolate circles he is widely recognized as one of the most influential figures in the American chocolate industry.
