Poison Live!

Poison Live! a theatrical performance at NHMUPoison Live! is a 12-minute theatrical and multimedia show that tells a dramatic story about the beginnings of toxicology.

Performed in The Power of Poison, our current special exhibit, Poison Live! recalls the true story of a 19th century murder mystery. Following the rapid demise of farmer George Bodle in 1833, a doctor and a chemist teamed up to investigate the suspicious circumstances that surrounded his death. Their investigation was one of the first to use forensic evidence and would later be recognized as the foundation of the science of poison: toxicology.

Performances run from October 13, 2016–April 15, 2017 and occur at various times throughout the week in the Special Exhibit gallery. See below for upcoming dates and times. *
