Discover what it’s like to be a Forest Ecologist. Join Kelly Kerr to explore how different tree species tolerate and deal with drought. See and touch, aspen, ponderosa pine, subalpine fir, pinyon pine and juniper leaf and wood samples, magnifying glasses, calipers, tree borers, DBH tape & photographs. Try your hand at measuring leaf sizes and wood area, and counting tree rings.

Scientist in the Spotlight is held on the first and third Friday of each month from 2–4 p.m. The program allows Museum guests to meet real scientists and discuss their research. See link below for additional scientists in the series.
