NHMU Cafe Barista

The Natural History Museum of Utah is seeking part-time baristas to provide service to our museum visitors at our in-house museum cafe. We place emphasis on assuring that the experience of our cafe visitors is an extension of their overall museum experience through superior customer service and high quality menu selections that compliment the NHMU brand. Successful candidates will greet customers, serve food and beverage items and conduct sales transactions.

Special Events Team Member

The Special Events Team is an integral part of the success of the rental events program at the Natural History Museum of Utah. They will provide set-up and tear-down of events, as well as support throughout the event on an as needed basis. It is anticipated that the Museum will host an average of four events each week, 250 per year, which requires a strong and committed team to make all events a success and convey the “NHMU brand experience” of customer service that exceeds client expectations.

IT/ Computer Technician

The NHMU Computer Support team provides desktop user support for Mac and PC, troubleshoots hardware and software problems, and supports all audiovisual and electronic components of the Museum’s permanent and temporary exhibitions.

Work-Study Positions: Applicants must have a current work-study award through the Financial Aid and Scholarships office to apply for a job classified as a work-study position. 

School Programs Assistant (Work-Study)
The school Programs Department work-study student helps with day to day tasks associated with programming. These tasks include: Assisting/greeting with field trips and group visits, assists with outreach teacher kits production and maintenance, assists with museum programming planning and preparation. And other various jobs with school programs, projects and detail-oriented tasks as assigned by staff.
