Natural History Museum of Utah

Come see what's so big about the super small

Advances in nanotechnology have the potential to change the world through advancements in providing affordable clean energy and treating diseases more effectively.

At the Museum's annual Nano Days event, meet Nano Scientists from the Nano Institute of Utah to explore the miniscule world of atoms, molecules and nanoscale forces through hands-on activities and presentations on current research.

Nano Days Activities:

  • Get face-to-face with "nano" scientists
  • Examine nano wire - an alloy that remembers it's shape!
  • Build a balloon carbon nano tube and learn about one of the strongest structures in the world!

Included in Museum Admission

Nano Days is a nationwide festival of educational programs about nanoscale science and engineering and its potential impact on the future. Click here to learn more about Nano Technology

Nano Days is presented locally by the Natural History Museum of Utah in partnership with the Nano Institute of Utah and Utah MRSEC (Utah Materials Research Science & Engineering Center).
