2023 Summer Camp Scholarship Information
The Natural History Museum of Utah strives to provide high-quality, inclusive programming to children attending kindergarten through the sixth grades. We are thankful to our camp sponsors, who have generously donated funding toward our scholarship program. Scholarships cover 100% of camp fees and will be awarded to students who receive free or reduced price lunch in the Free or Reduced School Lunch Program, or whose families meet the Income Eligibility Guidelines for the program. A registration link will be posted here on March 6th at 9:00am. Please note that because funds are limited and demand for camp is high, qualifying for a scholarship does not guarantee a scholarship award. In addition, while do our best to fulfill requests, qualifying for a scholarship does not guarantee a spot in summer camp. The scholarship program allows one scholarship per child per summer. If a family has more than one child, the parent or guardian may submit a separate application for each child in the household. Preference will be given to new applicants, however applicants who have received a scholarship in the past will still be considered. Parents or guardians are responsible for providing transportation each day of camp as well as a lunch, if the camp session is offered in a full-day format. Potential applicants do not need to register for the summer amp in which they are interested at this time. Grade levels stated in the camp descriptions are for the upcoming school year (2023-2024). Not all school districts begin or end at the same time--check your school start date before applying for a scholarship spot. Scholarship applications must be received by 5:00pm March 22nd, 2023. All eligible applicants will be entered into a lottery ddrawing and awardees will be notified by email on or before April 5th, 2023. If we have remaining funds, additional information will be posted after this time.
