Scholarship Applications for the 2018 season are now closed.
The Natural History Museum of Utah strives to provide high-quality, inclusive programming to children attending kindergarten through eighth grade. We are thankful to our camp sponsors, who have generously donated funds toward our scholarship program for 2018. Scholarships cover 100 percent of camp fees and will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis to students who receive free or reduced price lunch in the Free or Reduced School Lunch Program, or whose families meet the Income Eligibility Guidelines for the program.
Please note that because funds are limited and demand for camp is high, qualifying for a scholarship does not guarantee a scholarship award. In addition, qualifying for a scholarship does not guarantee a spot in summer camp.
The scholarship program allows one scholarship per child per summer. However, if a family has more than one child, the parent or guardian may submit a separate application for each child in the household. Parents or guardians are responsible to provide transportation for their child each day of camp as well as a lunch brought form home in the case of a full-day session.
Scholarship application will be posted on March 15th, 2018. Application and supporting materials can be submitted starting March 19th, 2018. We reserve the right to close down the application process, without notice, once our scholarship funds have run out or spots in our camp program are full. Completed applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis and applicants will be notified within five business days of receipt. All materials will be held confidentially and destroyed when Summer Camp 2018 has concluded.
