NHMU Summer Camp 2017 for Kindergarten

Kindergarten Sessions

NHMU Kindergarten camps are designed for children who will enter kindergarten in the fall of 2017 and who are completely potty trained. Each camp is created using Utah’s Early Childhood Core Standards. For our full-day session, time between morning and afternoon sessions will be spent eating a lunch brought from home and exploring outside with Museum staff. Please note that not all school districts begin summer break at the same time—check your school schedule before registering.

Price and duration of camps vary. See individual listings.

In the afternoon at NHMU we’ll take time to slow down and actively investigate the plants and natural processes that surround us. Drop camper off at Red Butte Garden by 9:00am and pick up at NHMU by 3:00pm. Campers will be escorted from one location to the other during the lunch hour.

Using a wide range of resources in a variety of shapes and sizes, campers will strengthen problem-solving skills as they resolve an assortment of building and puzzle challenges. How can we make a structure balance? How do we make a bridge stronger? How do certain parts go together to make a whole? The possibilities are endless!
