Dr. Brooks Britt explains how the Saints  & Sinners “dinosaur boneyard” in Northeastern Utah came to amass so many well-preserved and diverse early dinosaurs from the Late Triassic Period.

At the age of 14 Brooks Britt shipped himself and his bicycle via bus from Washington to Utah to search for dinosaurs with his cousin. On their first ride into the desert, north of Vernal, they discovered dinosaurs and excavated them over the next two summers.

Brooks continues to work on dinosaurs and is currently an associate professor of geology at Brigham Young University in Provo and the BYU Museum of Paleontology.
