Recorded Q&A with Ecologist Carly Biedul - September 16, 2022
Carly Biedul is the Coordinator at Westminster College’s Great Salt Lake Institute (GSLI). She helps students connect to the lake and their community through research and education. Carly is new to GSLI and after teaching elementary science for 5 years and receiving her Masters of Education, she wanted to take a sidestep and work “teaching adjacent” to help college students discover the scientific beauty of the lake. Some of the most recent student research at Westminster includes measuring the resiliency of cyanobacteria and investigating microorganisms in gypsum.
