Join NHMU's Teacher Ambassador Group
Kindergarten though 6th Grade teachers are invited to apply for NHMU's Teacher Ambassador Group (TAG). Help provide feedback and evaluation to improve NHMU's school program offerings including field trips, teacher resources, and outreach. This is a full-year cohort of Teacher Ambassadors for the 2026-2027 school year. We encourage teachers from all across Utah to apply but please note that many meetings will focus on onsite programs due to the nature of our funding and programming.
What to expect:
- One in-person retreat at NHMU on July 8th (lodging will be provided for teachers traveling farther than 60 miles)
- Monthly virtual meetings on the second Wednesday evening of the month from August 2026 to May 2027
We are looking to recruit teachers with varying backgrounds from districts across the state. The application will take less than 15 minutes to complete. Interested in seeing all the questions in advance? View the full list of application questions here.
The TAG program gives teachers who work in schools every day the opportunity to provide meaningful input and feedback on the resources offered by NHMU. It is rare for an organization to actively seek out and genuinely value teacher perspectives, which makes the TAG program especially unique and impactful. Working with the NHMU TAG program has been a true honor.
- Grant, TAG Pilot Program and 2025-2026 Cohort Participant
Timeline and details:
- Applications will open on May 15th and close on June 5th, 2026.
- As part of the application, finalists will asked to join a short zoom interview.
- Applicants will be notified of decision by the end of June.
- Monthly meetings will take place on second Wednesdays after school hours, but the exact time will be determined based on cohort availability and preference.
