2024 Utah Spider BioBlitz
Event Details
How many Utah spiders can you photograph in 7 days? Celebrate Antelope Island State Park's annual Spider Fest by photographing spiders you see anywhere in the state of Utah from July 22-28th, and adding them to iNaturalist.
All iNaturalist observations of arachnids made in Utah from July 22-28, 2024 will be automatically be added to the BioBlitz project. No matter where in Utah you are, your spider photos will contribute to records of statewide arachnid diversity. Last year, Utahns recorded over 68 species of spiders during the BioBlitz. We can't wait to see what you find this year!
How to take part:
- Photograph spiders you find in Utah July 22-28th
- Add your images to iNaturalist as observations
- All iNaturalist observations of Arachnids in Utah will be automatically added to the iNaturalist Project: 2024 Utah Spider BioBlitz

Join NHMU and additional community partners at the 2024 Spider Festival on Antelope Island, Saturday, July 27th! We'll be celebrating spiders with crafts, conversation, guided walks, and so much more. More information coming soon.
This BioBlitz is organized by The Natural History Museum of Utah, in partnership with The Utah Division of Natural Resources and Antelope Island State Park's 2024 Spider Fest.
