Natural History Museum of Utah Announces the 2023 Lecture Series: Frontlines of Archaeology
SALT LAKE CITY, FEBRUARY 14, 2023 – The Natural History Museum of Utah is pleased to announce its 2023 lecture series, Frontlines of Archaeology, presented in conjunction with its special exhibition Angkor: Empire of Cambodia. This year’s exciting lineup of speakers have travelled near and far, unearthing the past to bring new insights into human history.
The first lecture begins Tuesday, February 21, and continues with lectures on every other Tuesday, with the Keynote speaker on April 4. The first three free lectures will be held in-person at various locations in Salt Lake City, with tickets for the final Keynote available for purchase at Kingsbury Hall.
“Each year, NHMU connects our Lecture Series to important topics in natural history, while spotlighting themes linked to relevant issues affecting our society,” said Dr. Jason Cryan, executive director of the Natural History Museum of Utah. “This year, you’re invited on expeditions across the globe with some of the world’s most specialized archaeologists and adventurers to discover what they’ve found – and what it means for humanity.”
