Winter Nights

The Natural History Museum of Utah is excited to announce a series of family-friendly festivities on Wednesday evenings beginning the first week of December. Winter Nights at the Museum will highlight fun activities, musical presentations, shopping discounts and a live performance for visitors of all ages.

People who love unique gifts or those tired of shopping at crowded Malls can browse the amazing items found in the Museum store. Every shelf is brimming with wonderful treasures, including Native American crafts, extraordinary jewelry, dinosaur toys, books and so much more. Items purchased between 5pm and 9pm will receive 10% off during December’s Winter Nights, 20% off for all Museum members.

In addition, regular Museum-goers can participate in the following opportunities included with the price of admission:

  • Make paper snowflakes
  • Learn about clouds, precipitation and snowflake studies from University of Utah professor Tim Garret, who works from a special laboratory based at Alta Ski resort.

All visitors to the Museum are invited to attend the live performances, shop at the Museum store, make ornaments, sip hot chocolate and nibble a cookie or just gaze at the stars from the Canyon balcony.
