Association of Science - Technology Centers Passport Program
The Natural History Museum of Utah is a member of the Association of Science - Technology Centers. Free admission to NHMU through the ASTC passport program is offered to anyone who (1) lives more than 90 miles away (as the crow flies) from NHMU, AND (2) has a current membership in an ASTC-passport museum located more than 90 miles from NHMU (as the crow flies). Proof of both residence and membership is required. Free admission is limited to one for “individual” memberships, two for “duo” memberships, and two adults plus all minors living at the same address for “family” or higher membership categories.
Blue Star Museums
The Museum is pleased to offer free admission to all active military ID holders and up to 5 family members all summer long as part of the Blue Star Museums, a collaboration among the National Endowment of the Arts, Blue Star Families, the Department of Defense, and more than 1,500 museums across America. This program runs from Armed Forces Day through Labor Day. Armed Forces Day is May 21 in 2022.

Museums for All
The Museum is pleased to be a participating museum in the Museums for All program. Upon proof of your EBT or WIC card, we can provide up to 6 tickets for $2 each. Valid for out of state card holders, as well.
ShareTix Foundation
The Natural History Museum of Utah is pleased to be partnering with Sharetix, a Utah nonprofit organization that provides tickets to museums, sporting events, theaters and concerts for at-risk community groups for free. Established in 2011, Sharetix partners with local arts and entertainment organizations to help distribute free tickets to under-served individuals and families. School Field Trip "Bounce Back"
Children who visit the Museum with their school for a field trip receive a wrist band that can be used to receive one free child or youth admission to visit the Museum at a future time. Visit the "Bounce Back" page for more information
University of Utah Alumni Association member discount
The Museum is pleased to offer University of Utah Alumni Association members $2 off Adult, Senior, and Youth admission, and $1 off Child admission. This discount extends to the Alumni Association member and up to three guests per visit. Members must present a valid Alumni Association membership card and photo ID at the museum admission desk to take advantage of this offer.
University of Utah students, faculty and staff--FREE
Anyone with an active U card can visit the Museum any time for free. The Natural History Museum of Utah is part of the University of Utah. Serving the University community, and especially students, is one of our strategic goals. ARUP employees do not receive free admission to the museum.
Veterans Day, November 11
On Veterans Day, we are honored to provide free admission to those who have served in the military and one additional guest. We will list more details here on this year's free admission when available.
