2025 Spring Curatorial Breakfast
Join us to hear from NHMU's Curator of Mycology, Bryn Dentinger, Ph.D., whose research work explores one of the most diverse yet least explored kingdoms of life—fungi. From mushrooms to molds, fungi play a crucial role in ecosystems, and Dr. Dentinger has conducted field work all over the world to uncover fungal diversity and the impacts it has on its environments. Currently, his lab is focusing on DNA analysis to identify fungi around the globe, and more advanced genome sequencing to understand their relationships, discover new species, and study how they produce natural compounds and evolve over time.
