Our mission is to empower people to connect to their food and community by revitalizing urban spaces and building a resilient food culture. The Green Urban Lunch Box envisions a strong network of communities centered on the cultivation of food. We seek to prevent food from being wasted and sent to the landfill by rescuing it from unutilized fruit trees, we seek to lessen the carbon footprint of our food by growing and distributing food locally in the Salt Lake Valley, and we seek to grow food without the use of harmful chemicals and materials.
