DinoFest Through the Ages
NHMU premiered DinoFest in 2017 and it immediately became one of the Museum's most popular events, drawing record attendance on its first weekend. With a goal of celebrating all things dinosaur, an emphasis is given to Utah's dinosaur discoveries which fill the Museum here in Salt Lake City. The festival has been anchored each year by lectures presented by both NHMU and visiting paleontologists from around the world, who explore a different theme each year.
"DinoFest gives us the perfect opportunity to bridge the gap between the fun-filled fantasy side of dinosaurs that kids have grown up with, and the amazing scientific research and paleontological discoveries taking place right now in Utah and round the world," said Carrie Levitt-Bussian, NHMU's paleontology collections manager.
Every year, guest lectures have been recorded and we are happy to share them with dinosaur enthusiasts visiting us online. Browse DinoFest by year below to discover the many amazing lectures the event has brought to NHMU.
