Field Trip Bus Funding

For the 2025-2026 school year a limited amount of bus funding scholarships is available! 

Bus funding is available for schools that meet the following criteria: 

• Utah Public and Charter Schools.
• Plan for a field trip with a visit date prior to February 27th.
• Schools that would be unable to attend a field trip to NHMU without financial assistance.

To apply for bus funding, please fill out the form below. 

Submissions are limited to 1 teacher per grade level and awards cannot be stacked across the same field trip or grade level. 

Bus funding will be awarded on a first come first serve basis, the scholarship form will be available until all spaces are taken. The funding scholarship amount is a reimbursement up to $500 for bussing costs. 

After notifying the scholarship recipients, if there is still funding available, the form will reopen and scholarships will be awarded in order of application submission. 

Reimbursement Requirements.

If awarded the bus funding, teachers are agreeing to the following stipulations: 

• Bus funding must be used for a field trip to the Natural History Museum of Utah. This field trip must be planned in advance with a reservation through the School Field Trip Team and the date of the field trip must be before February 27th, 2026.
• Reimbursement amount is up to $500.
• To receive the reimbursement, schools must submit an invoice to NHMU Accounting after their field trip.
• All reimbursement invoices must be submitted by April 15, 2026.
