Scientist in the Spotlight: Geologist

Discover what it is like to be a Geologist! Join Lauren Gasior to explore the cycle of volcanic rocks from eruption to erosion. See and touch beautiful volcanic rocks and minerals, peek at them under a microscope, find out where you can see igneous rocks in the wild, and explore the history of each rock and how they shape the Earth.

Scientist in the Spotlight is held on the first and third Friday of each month from 2-4 p.m. The program allows Museum guests to meet real scientists and discuss their research. See program page below for additional scientists in the series.

Included in Museum admission, free to Museum Members and University of Utah faculty, staff, and students with a current UID.
