How do I book my group reservation?

Groups of 12-20 individuals may purchase their tickets directly though advanced sales, here. Larger groups require a few additional steps to coordinate your arrival and ticket distribution. To request a reservation for groups of 21 or more individuals, enter your request here. A group sales associate will respond within one business day to complete your reservation. 

Are discounted group rates available on weekends?

Unfortunately, no. Due to high demand and limited availability of weekend admission, the Museum cannot offer reduced group admission on the weekends. 

How many tickets do I need to purchase to get the group discount?

You must purchase 12 or more tickets in one transaction to get the group discounted rates.

When is the best time to visit the museum?

If you wish to visit the Museum during a quieter time, the following days and times tend to be less busy: Monday through Thursday after 1:30 p.m. and Wednesday evenings between 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.. 

When is the museum open?

The Natural History Museum of Utah is open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. seven days a week and remains open late until 9 p.m. on Wednesdays. The Museum is open 363 days a year, closed on Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.

How do I get to the museum?

Where can our motor coach park?

Free parking for motor coaches is available in designated areas west of the museum on Colorow Road. Coaches cannot stage in the museum drop-off areas.

Where can our group eat lunch?

Located on the second floor, the Canyon Café is open to museum visitors and the general public, offering a full espresso bar, hot and cold drinks, sweet and savory menu items, and sweeping views of the Salt Lake Valley.

Group Reservation Guidelines

  • Children aged 2 and under are free at NHMU. Children aged 2 and under cannot be included in the 12 paid admissions, however, they may be added at no additional cost.
  • Group reservations are purchased for a specific date and time and based on availability. Tickets must be purchased at the time of reservation. A reservation is not guaranteed until a payment has been processed. 
  • Group pricing may not be combined with any additional discounts, coupons, or offers.
  • Price is subject to change.
