Dr. Roger Altizer

Dr. Roger Altizer, Jr. is the co-founder of the University of Utah's Entertainment Arts and Engineering, the top ranked game design program in the nation, the Director of Digital Medicine for the Center for Medical Innovation, and the founding Director of The GApp lab (Therapeutic Games and Apps). Roger specializes in serious and medical games as well as game design and development. His heart and his research focus on the importance of play and how good design encourages it.

He joins us to talk about building the Dino Lab simulator in Research Quest, how you can study game design in college, and some of his favorite games.
