Welcome to Summer Camp!

NHMU's Summer Camp program is winning awards in Salt Lake City, Utah, for a reason: we prioritize learning and fostering connections along with the fun!

Morning Drop Off

We work hard to make both the morning drop off and afternoon pick up processes as seamless and safe as possible. Below, this video will run through the full morning drop off routine so you can see what it looks like. Whenever possible, place your child's car seat on the passenger-side of the car. This ensures staff can quickly get your child in and out of the car, and prevents your kids from having to exit near potential traffic.

Afternoon Pick Up

Below, this video will run through the full afternoon pick up routine so you can see what it looks like. Whenever possible, place your child's car seat on the passenger-side of the car. This ensures staff can quickly get your child in and out of the car, and prevents your kids from having to exit near potential traffic.

Lunch Time

Campers are given about an hour for lunch and socializing — giving them the opportunity to play games, sit in the shade, and make new friends. Campers must bring their own lunches and drinks, and cannot purchase food from the Canyon Café.

Snack Time

Full day campers will have a morning snack time and an afternoon snack time, so they will need to come with two snacks. Half-day campers will only need one snack. Ensure you child also has a reusable water bottle.

Community Circle

Each morning, campers will participate in a community circle — giving them the chance to get to know their fellow campers and hear the day's schedule.

Lab Spaces

NHMU features four amazing learning labs, each highlighting a unique facet of science! These labs will serve as learning spaces throughout the week, and will be separated by camp and grade.

Bathrooms

As NHMU's restrooms are shared with general Museum guests, Summer Camp chaperones will schedule bathroom breaks throughout the day and escort their camp group to the space.
