Nature is thriving right under our noses in Utah’s cities and towns. Come meet the wild plants and animals that share our communities in Nature All Around Us, a special exhibition celebrating the Natural History Museum of Utah’s 50th anniversary.

Filled with immersive environments, hands-on interactives, and live animals, Nature All Around Us will engage all your senses in discovering the hidden worlds in familiar places from your backyard to Main Street. Explore the ways our daily lives are intertwined with nature—how trees cool our neighborhoods, how streams carry storm water away from our homes, and how spending time in nearby nature keeps us healthy. Meet the citizen scientists recording the nature in our communities and find out how you can get involved.

  • Find your ideal tree match with the “Timber” app
  • Discover common edible weeds and place your order with a digital chef
  • Meet the surprising diversity of creatures that share the places we live, work, and play
