Youth Teaching Youth Request Calendar
Thank you for your interest in Youth Teaching Youth! On the calendar below, you’ll be able to request a day for our students to visit your 4th grade classroom.
Youth Teaching Youth is a science outreach and enrichment program that teaches students from Glendale Middle School how to teach science while helping them achieve the personal and academic goals. Our lessons tie into Utah SEEd Standards and are focused on fossils, the Great Salt Lake, and adaptations. Want more details? Instructions for Requesting your Youth Teaching Youth visit:
- Click on one of the colored boxes on the calendar to begin scheduling your visit. If no other teacher has chosen this date, you will be able to continue to the next step and enter your visit details.
- You will have the option to choose a morning or an afternoon reservation.
- If you choose a morning reservation, our classes will run at one of the following times: 8:40 – 9:40 a.m., 9:20 – 10:20 a.m., or 10:10 – 11:10 a.m.
- If you choose an afternoon reservation, our class will run at 1:10 – 2:10 p.m.
- You may enter in your preference for timeslots, but we cannot guarantee that you will receive it.
- You will receive your exact visit time in your confirmation email.
- We can only accommodate 2 classes per day due to staffing constraints. Please only schedule one class per visit.
- You may request that we visit your classroom up to three times (once per subject). Please only schedule one request per visit.
- Watch for your confirmation email or contact from Youth Teaching Youth staff within 10 business days (be sure to check spam folders!).

- Adaptations: December 16 - February 19
- Fossils: February 24 - March 26
