About the Workshop

This is the most popular tasting class at Caputo's. Learn what makes one chocolate “fine”, "craft", or "bean to bar" and the other just “standard” or "industrial". We'll show you how to identify flavors, get familiarized with great chocolate makers, and learn other priceless bits of chocolate know-how for a delicious life. Salt Lake Magazine featured our Chocolate Class on their SLC Bucket List and Saveur magazine listed Utah as the craft chocolate capital of the US, come see what all the fun is about!

This workshop is presented by Daxton Chelius.

About Caputo’s

The mission statement for Caputo’s is clear - to protect and honor the food traditions of our ancestors. The Education Program is no different. By honoring the skills, flavors, and techniques of the past, we hope to share our passion with those seeking to gain a greater appreciation for the tastes and stories that live within our favorite foods. Our goal is to make food inviting and un-intimidating to those who want to dig deeper.
